General Description
The XFP (10 gigabit small form factor pluggable) is a standard for transceivers for high-speed computer networkand telecommunication links that use optical fiber. It was defined by an industry group in 2002, along with its interface to other electrical components, which is called XFI. XFP is a slightly larger form factor than the popular small form-factor pluggable transceiver, SFP and SFP+.

FAQ
1. Question: What are CWDM, DWDM, SFP and GBIC used for? What kind of company buys them?
Answer: These are optical fiber transceivers designed to be used with passive optical multiplexers. If you have a number of these all transmitting on different wavelengths, you can use a passive multiplexer to combine each signal onto a single fiber pair, and then de-multiplex the signal at the far end. Unlike active systems, a passive multiplexer requires no power or management - it's literally a set of waveguides and prisms in a rack mount chassis - which greatly reduces the cost of doing WDM and eliminates a potential point of failure in the system.
2. Question: How do SFP and XFP differ?
Answer: XFP (10 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable) is a standard for the transceivers. This type of transceiver is not dependent on the protocol. Generally, it operates at optical wavelengths corresponding to 850nm, 1310nm or 1550nm. The modules belonging to the XFP are hot swappable which means that the function of replacing the computer system components can be performed without shutting down the system. The specifications of XPF were developed by the XFP Multi Source Agreement Group.
"SFP" stands for "Small Form-factor Pluggable." It is most often used for Fast Ethernet of Gigabit Ethernet applications. They are capable of supporting speeds up to 4.25Gbps. It interfaces a network device motherboard to a fiber optic or copper networking cable. It is specified by the SFP transceiver multi-source agreement.
3. Question: Wills it Compatibility with Huawei?
Answer: Yes, it will.
4. Question: What is your minimum order?
Answer: To achieve customers' satisfaction, we accept sample order, even one piece.
5. Question: What is your lead time for sampling?
Answer: It is about 1-3 working days after payment received.
6. Question: What is your payment term?
Answer: T/T, PayPal, etc. We can further discuss.
