xWDM – it is fully data rate or line protocol neutral – it is possible to use with colored transceivers supporting such applications as 1G/10G Ethernet, SDH/SONET and 8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel. It is simple to install, requires no configuration or maintenance.
How dual fiber 8ch DWDM Mux Demux connect?
CWDM has 18 bands, from 1270nm to 1610nm, with 20nm interval between each band. There are three kinds of DWDM channel spacing according to needs: 0.4nm (50GHz), 0.8nm (100GHz) and 1.6nm (200ghz), 100GHz (from C17 to C61, the most commonly used, suitable for conventional equipment); 50GHz (from C17 to H61, suitable for high channel equipment).
The wavelength of CWDM is 1470nm ~ 1610nm. Generally, DFB laser is used. Because of the large channel spacing, CWDM devices and lasers are cheaper than DWDM devices.
CWDM optical channel spacing is wide, and the number of multiplexed optical wavelengths on the same fiber is less than DWDM;
