The 32-core MPO cable is the best solution for low-latency, ultra-high-speed transmission of 400G networks. At present, the factory-terminated assembly of MPO connectors can accommodate 6 to 144 cores, of which 8, 12, and 24-core MPO connectors are more common. Usually 12-core fibers are arranged in one column, which can support one or more columns of fibers in the same MPO connector, which can be divided into one column (12 cores) and multiple columns (24 cores) according to the number of cores arranged in the connector. 40G MPO-MPO fiber jumpers generally use 12-core MPO. 100G MPO-MPO fiber jumpers generally use 24-core MPO ferrules.
The 32-core MPO cable is special. A 32-core MPO head cannot be used. At present, the maximum number of cores of an MPO head on the market can be 24 cores. A 32-core cable can be made into two 16-core MPO heads at one end, or four 8-core MPO heads at one end.
