Scheme 1: connection between 10g SFP + 10G Optical module and switch

Insert four 10g SFP + optical modules into the 10 Gbps SFP + port of one switch, and then insert a 40g qsfp + optical module into the 40 Gbps qsfp + port of another switch, and finally connect with a branch fiber jumper in the middle.This connection mode mainly realizes the network expansion from 10g to 40g, which can quickly and easily meet the network upgrade requirements of the data center.

Scheme 2: connection between bidi SFP + 10 Gigabit single fiber bidirectional optical module and switch

The bidi optical modules are respectively inserted into the SFP + ports of the two switches, and then the optical modules on the two switches are connected by the LC optical fiber jumper corresponding to the optical module connection port.This is the simplest and most effective way to connect data in Telecom center.

Scheme 3: connection between CWDM SFP + 10 Gigabit optical module and switch

The trunk box, optical fiber transceiver and CWDM coarse wavelength division multiplexer are used to connect the CWDM SFP + optical module with the switch. The RJ45 port on the 10g 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch is converted to the CWDM wavelength required by the CWDM coarse wavelength division multiplexer.

Insert the DWDM SFP + optical module into the switch's SMP + port, and then connect it with the DWDM dense wavelength division multiplexer with the armored fiber jumper. This connection mode realizes the protection of optical signal in long-distance transmission, which can reduce the optical wave loss to the greatest extent, and is suitable for long-distance optical signal transmission.


Notes on connection between optical module and switch

1. Pay attention to whether the wavelength and transmission distance of the optical modules used by the switches at both ends are the same, as well as the problems of single fiber, double fiber and single-mode multi-mode. If the two ends are not equal, the corresponding converter should be used;

2. When using the optical module, try to avoid static electricity and collision. If there is collision, it is not recommended to continue to use the optical module;

3. Pay attention to the positive and negative insertion of the optical module, and the pull ring and label should face upward;

4. When inserting the optical module into the switch, push it to the bottom as much as possible. Generally, there will be slight vibration. After inserting, the optical module can be pulled out gently to check whether it is installed in place;

5. When disassembling the optical module, the bracelet should be pulled to the position of 90 ° to the optical port, and then the optical module should be pulled out.
