Different from 10g and 40g man, 100g man mainly uses the newly developed coherent packet optical technology, which has the same flexibility and scalability as ROADM based network, but does not have expensive wavelength selection switch (WSS) and optical filter. Main equipment used in 100g man

Similar to 10g and 40g man, 100g man first uses 100g DWDM transceiver and dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) MUX demux in the above core layer and area layer. In addition, optical amplifier and dispersion compensation module are needed in some application scenarios.
