MPO optical fiber cable is composed of multi-core optical cable and corresponding 4 / 8 / 12 / 24 / 48 core high-density MPO / MTP. It is one of MT series connectors. The inserting core of MT series adopts two guide holes with diameter of 0.7mm on the end face of insert core to connect with guide pin (also known as pin pin pin pin). HTF can provide male or female MPO / MTP models, and can select various specifications of 4 ~ 48 core single-mode and multi-mode optical cables.
MPO optical fiber cable is widely used in LAN optical active equipment between different buildings, optical link interconnection, communication base station wiring, wiring in distribution box, residential area, Industrial Park machine room, commercial building, building intensive wiring system, optical fiber communication system, cable television network, LANs, WANs, FTTx or internal and external connection of equipment.
There are many kinds of MPO optical fiber jumpers, such as ribbon MPO jumper, bundle MPO jumper, etc. the jumper fan out by branching device (circular or square) can generally transfer out 2-24 core 0.9 or 2.0 optical cable branches. The connector type is specified by the customer, and FC, LC, SC, st and other types are available. The total length or branch length of MPO jumper and other requirements are optional by customers.
As MPO technology can help improve the density of optical fiber, most of the 40g multimode optical modules are based on MPO technology. Different from the traditional optical fiber connection, MPO connector is not directly connected to the terminal.
