According to data released by GSA on November 1, 2019, as of the end of October 2019, 328 operators in 109 countries/regions are investing in 5G in the form of test/trial, licensing, network deployment and start-up services. Sixty-nine operators have deployed 5G technology that meets 3GPP requirements in their networks.
Among them, the 27 countries of the 50 companies have launched one or more meet the requirements of the 3 GPP 5G, 39 launched to meet the requirements of 3 GPP 5G mobile services (36, three limited availability), 29 launched to meet the requirements of 3 GPP 5G FWA or family broadband service (19, 10 limited availability).
Of the 50 operators that have rolled out 5G services that meet the requirements of 3GPP; five are in the Americas, 11 in the Asia-pacific region, 21 in Europe and 13 in the Middle East and Africa.
