      CWDM is a coarse wavelength division multiplexer, which multiplexes optical signals of different wavelengths to a single optical fiber for transmission, decomposes them into signals of different wavelengths at the receiving end and connects them to the corresponding receiving equipment, which is the best choice to meet the requirements of increasing bandwidth capacity and reducing costs.

Characteristic

1. Passive technology without power supply;

2. Standard 18 channel, CWDM band 1270nm-1610nm, band interval 20nm;

3. 1RU rack cabinet;

4. Return loss ≥ 45dB;

5、 The monitoring port can eliminate the fault without time difference;

6. LC / UPC duplex connector easily supports the connection of duplex jumper between transceiver and passive device;

7. Channel insertion loss < 4.9db;

8. The working temperature is - 10 ~ 70 ° C.

The difference between CWDM and DWDM

1. Compared with the wavelength interval of 0.2nm to 1.2nm in DWDM system, CWDM has a wider wavelength interval, and the standard wavelength interval in the industry is 20nm;

2. In CWDM system, the number of filter coating layers can be reduced to about 50, while in DWDM system, the number of 100GHz filter coating layers is about 150;

3. The cost of CWDM filter is more than 50% less than that of DWDM filter, and it will be further reduced with the increase of automatic production technology and batch;

4. The CWDM modulation laser uses non cooling laser, while the DWDM uses cooling laser. Temperature tuning is used for cooling laser and electronic tuning is used for non cooling laser.
