DWDM tunable optical transceiver is a unique optical module, which can choose the channel or "color" of laser emission. Most DWDM systems usually use optical modules with fixed wavelengths, but tunable optical modules have the ability to adjust the wavelength of the optical module to meet different application requirements. It should be noted that the wavelength adjustment function of the DWDM tunable optical module is only used in the DWDM system.
Types of DWDM adjustable optical modules
1. Tunable XFP optical module
The tunable XFP optical module consists of an integrated full C-band tunable transmitter and high-performance receiver.
The wavelength can be set as the default value in the 50GH DWDM ITU grid. The maximum distance of the optical module can reach 80km on a single-mode fiber. . In the market, different manufacturers may name tunable XFP optical modules in different forms.

2. Tunable SFP+ optical transceivers
The tunable SFP+ optical transceiver can provide a high-speed serial link from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps. The optical module supports the enhanced SFP+ specification.
On the transmitting side, the serial data is passed from the electronic connector to the modulator driver. The modulator driver modulates the C-band cooling adjustable transmitter, and realizes data transmission of up to 80km on the single-mode fiber through the industry standard LC connector. On the receiving side, the 10G optical data stream is restored from the APD to the electronic connector through the transimpedance amplifier.
