News on November 27, from the announcement of the International Telecommunication Union, the global 5G wireless air interface standard is waiting for the final approval of the 193 member states of the International Telecommunication Union. The Geneva-based International Telecommunication Union announced on November 26, local time that the International Telecommunication Union has officially successfully completed the assessment of 3 new technologies that meet the ITU IMT-2020 (5G) vision and strict performance requirements. The wireless air interface that will be used for the full commercial deployment of 5G networks has been validated globally.
The three technologies are:
① from the two technologies submitted by 3GPP ---5G-SRIT and 5G-RIT;
② from the 5Gi submitted by the Telecommunications Standards Development Association of India (TSDSI).
The International Telecommunication Union stated that these technologies are considered sufficient for global operation and equipment compatibility including roaming.
In addition to vigorously opposing the extremely high reserve price of the 5G spectrum auction by the Indian communications regulatory agency "Lion Opening", it was previously observed that several major telecom operators in India also strongly opposed the development of India's own 5G wireless air interface standard by TSDSI, because they believed Doing so will increase their 5G network construction and operation and maintenance costs a lot.
