Direct Connection for 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ Optics to 4x 10GBASE-LR SFP+ Optics with MPO Harness Cable

How to breakout 40G link into 4x 10G for going to different purpose? A type-B female MPO/MTP-4x LC harness cable is required. The 4x 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceivers interconnection with 1x 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ transceivers by one MPO-4LC harness cable directly.


Low insertion loss LC connector

Imported high-quality ceramic plugs are used to reduce transmission loss and enhance transmission stability.

Most optical fiber connectors are spring-loaded, so the fiber faces are pressed together when the connectors are mated. The resulting glass-to-glass or plastic-to-plastic contact eliminates signal losses that would be caused by an air gap between the joined fibers.

Performance of optical fiber connectors can be quantified by insertion loss and return loss.

On one end, the cable has an MTP brand connector, housing 12 fibers, which breaks out to 12 duplex LC connectors. Like the MTP brand connector, the LC connector is also known for its space-saving capabilities, and features a compact design. These two connector styles, together in the same cable, help increase port density and data throughput performance quality.


With Singlemode OS2 fiber optics, experience data transmissions over a 1Gbps link with a 9/125 micron glass fiber over a distance of up to 10,000 meters at a wavelength of 1310nm. For a 10Gbps link, you can transfer data over a distance of up to 5,000 meters at 1310nm, and 30,000 meters at 1550nm.
